Why would you want and need more than one pair of Theta-Orthotics?
First: More than one correction level increase the success of the treatment. Many of our patients already wear orthotics and have experienced some, although incomplete relief of their symptoms. The reason they received some help is because the orthotic they wear improves function, reduces inflammation , and decreases pain. The reason they need more help is because as the foot adjusts to the change in function, they require additional correction to reduce the remaining inflammation and pain. Every time you increase orthotic correction 5 degrees you double the benefits and decrease more pain. When you order two or more pair to start with once you acclimate to the lower level and want more help, the next correction level with more help is available immediately.
Second: Two levels of correction help us find the best place to start. If you receive two levels of correction it lets us start you at a lower more comfortable level, one that can be used during all weight bearing periods as instructed. When you receive and first try your different corrections, if you can comfortably start with the higher level, you would immediately wear it and receive the increased benefits then call our support number and return the lower level to be exchanged for the next higher level at no additional charge.
Third: Good supportive shoes have approximately 5 degrees of theta correction inherent in their design. A 20 degree Theta-Orthotic in this type of shoe would provide the same correction and benefit as a a 25 degree Theta-Orthotics is shoes with little to not arch support. Once you adjust to a given correction you want that same support and correction in every shoe you wear until your foot is ready for more correction.
Fourth: If the patient is using this treatment to improve foot function that ultimately benefits posture, they usually want as much help as possible. Ordering multiple pairs with the initial order, give them the progressive treatment that will generate the significant benefits they desire and keep the treatment cost to a minimum.
Although one pair orders will still provide help for both patients, who do and do not currently wear other orthotics, multiple pair orders significantly increase the value of the treatment and keep the cost to a minimum. You can always do a subsequent order if you desire more correction or duplicate orthotics at any time.
